Happy Birthday, LZ!

Today was LZ's first birthday. Because of events I'll get into later on, we didn't have much planned, celebration-wise.

The DH and I went out yesterday and bought her some new toys -- a xylophone/piano-type thing, a pop-up toy with different levers and a ride-along bike-type thing (with no pedals). The DH made a crumb cake and we sang 'Happy Birthday' to her. Very low-key; it was just me, the DH and the baby.

We planned to have some photos taken. We even got all dressed up and ready to go (LZ was adorable). When we got there the first time, the studio was closed for lunch. We went back there only to find that we needed an appointment; he was all booked up.

Since when did you need appointments at the cheapo picture studio? Since now, I guess...
