I'm happy to say that I'm not quite as...emotional about the whole gift-tv situation as I was yesterday.
I actually got a call from the delivery service today to see when they could drop off the tv on Saturday (two days, if he'd only waited just two days!). I told them just to send it back (I don't even have to, sniff, look at it) then called amazon to let them know (amazon has amazing customer service, BTW, fast and efficient).
The upside of this whole debacle is TiVo. Yes, TiVo. I'm going to take the money I saved by not buying the TV and spend it on a Series 3 TiVo with lifetime subscription.
Yay!
My TiVo love is pure and deep and strong and now I can finally kick Direct TV to the curb and get the latest and greatest that my beloved has to offer.
Ah, television. It offers so much and asks so little...
