I'm Not Alone

So, like millions of other people, I went and saw "Avatar" today; with the full 3D IMAX experience, of course.

I have to say, I was very impressed. The special effects were mind blowing. The IMAX/3D combo made it feel almost totally immersive (I don't think that's a word, but you know what I mean). Even at nearly 3 hours, I was sad to leave. You can definitely see the future of filmmaking/filmgoing there.

The story was a little thin. Not thin, exactly, but nowhere near as revolutionary as the experience itself. I read it described somewhere as "Dances with Wolves" in space, or something like that, and that's about right.

Anyway, my two-cent film review. Go see it.
