Visitors with little notice, or Yay, Family!

My FiL and his new wife are coming to visit today. When did we find this out? Yesterday, of course.

I suppose I should be happy I get any notice at all. I fully expect my DH's large, boisterous family to just appear on the doorstep one day. Oh, well. I really am getting used to it. Or at least learning not to be surprised.

I'm really not much of a people person (I guess I should have thought of that before I married into a baseball team). I don't know if that's a personality trait or flaw. The thing that bothers me the most is the thought of having to entertain my visitors while the DH is at work.

But that's family, right? I have to tolerate barely announced drop-ins interrupting my (ha!) routine and they have to tolerate my awkward attempts at conversation. Yay, family!
