Uncommitted

Well, I didn't do much today, so there's not much to report.

Went for a walk, bought some stuff I didn't really need, did laundry, etc. Nothing really worth writing about.

I could write about things other than how my day went, but I don't feel like it. I'm definitely an uncommitted blogger.

The Beholder

Nearly every time I attempt NaBloPoMo, I always decide to change my blog template. There are so many nice (free) ones out there, and I do get bored easily.

I am also almost completely tech illiterate, though. It wasn't always like this. For a minute, in the mid-90s, I really felt like I was up-to-date on all this computer stuff. I knew what stuff meant and I felt pretty comfortable tinkering around with my old computer.

Somewhere around 1998, I guess, about the time I got out of the army, I started to lose my way. Everything seemed like it was moving so *fast* that I had a hard time keeping up. Then I completely lost interest.

Anyway, where was I? Oh, yes. Changing of the ol' blog template.

After a few hours of searching, I found this one today. Isn't it gorgeous?

It wasn't even that hard to install. It wasn't hard to install at all, in fact. In my old blog, I remember it taking *hours* to make changes, simply because I had *no* idea what I was doing.

I probably know even less now than I did then. It's just now that these things really are idiot-proof.

Anyway, enjoy the majesty.

Memory Lane

Instead of doing anything useful (useful? what's that?), I just spent the last hour or so tripping down memory lane via my old blogs.

I never (ever) thought I'd say this, but I was a lot cooler only a few short years ago (God! What does that say about me now?). My older blogs were interesting (at least to me) and had varied content. It wasn't always just inane and self-pitying ramblings. There were other things too: quotes, poetry, deep thoughts, those lame quizzes that were once so popular.

I guess it's just another sign of getting older (or of the impending apocalypse): losing your cool.
