Today we saw not one but three houses we liked and wanted to put bids on. In fact, of the four houses we saw today, we liked almost all of them (three out of four, or 75% -- a first for us).

So we put in bids on all three (our agent said we could do this. If, by some chance we get all three, she says it's no big deal to cancel the other two. I guess we'll see...).

The one we like the most (and therefore have the least chance of getting. No, seriously. There were two other prospective buyers *in the house* when we went to see it) is in an up-and-coming area of North Las Vegas. The house is a single story with a decent-sized yard (*maybe* pool sized for a small pool).

The second one, the one we're most *likely* to get (though our track record is pretty bad so far) is in a nice part of Las Vegas with parks all around and a great community center close by, along with shopping. The yard is decent, and apparently there was a pool that the homeowner filled in (!), and the house is nice.

The third house is the one I'm most conflicted about. It's the biggest of the bunch (over 1,900 square feet) with a huge yard with a large pool and a shed. The DH also likes that it's got a workshop set up in the garage. It's got everything we want: big house, big yard, big pool. The problem(s)? Well, it's out of our price range (though it's been on the market for a while and they may be inclined to negotiate) and though it's not in a *bad* area (NLV again), it's not in nearly as good of an area as either of the other two.

So what's more important? The house that we've been wanting or the location of said house? What's that old adage about the most important facet of real estate -- location, location, location?

There's really no need to worry about it until we see if any of our offers have been accepted. With our luck, though, they'll all be accepted and we'll have to make a real decision.
